Our Legacy have turned all of our Timberland dreams into reality

When it comes to collaborations there are some brands who just always get it right and Swedish style gods Our Legacy are one of them. Never ones for a fast cash grab, when they work together with someone you can tell that the driving factor is always passion rather than getting paid. A classic example being their latest cosy up with the legendary Timberland. Who knows what has been going on at Timbo HQ but I’ve often through over the past 15 years that they’ve been missing a bit of trick given how utterly obsessed the world of menswear has been with the outdoors, the 1990s and classic Americana. All vibes which Timberland has in spades yet doesn’t seem to have been remotely arsed about and thus leaving the doors wide open for a slew of other new kids on the menswear block to use their early days as their design template. Re-addressing this balance somewhat, the good folk at Our Legacy have taken Timberland out for a walk around the woods to tell them that they’re sitting on a sartorial goldmine and just need to do what they do best. Before sitting them down in the Our Legacy Work Shop to make a cosy capsule collection that’s made our 90s outdoor dreams a reality. Weaving their Nordic fashion magic into a pair of iconic 6 inch Timbo boots as well as a truly beautiful 60/40 wharf coat, classic plaid Timber shirt, Italian denim selvedge jeans, long sleeve pocket tee and sheepskin nubuck Weather cap. The vibe here is pure ‘Marlborough man meets Malmo’ and has to be one of the most meaningful collaborations I’ve seen for quite some time, my only regret is that the collection doesn’t include a massive wood coloured SUV too but I guess there’s always room for that in their next release isn’t there?
