Norrøna revisits Recouture for a capsule steeped in Norwegian culture

Already pioneers when it comes to sustainable outdoor apparel, Norwegian brand Norrøna have also upped their profile in the fashion world via collaborating for the third time with upscale upcycling outfit Recouture One Of A Kind. Also based in Norway and headed by founder Hilde Hoff Nordskar, Recouture has gained a reputation for transforming worn or damaged garments into elevated, contemporary designs rooted in craftsmanship and showcasing beautiful Norwegian textile traditions. Hilde’s approach being to treat each product as a unique canvas and preserve its history while giving it a renewed purpose through thoughtful and responsible design. The collab has resulted in over two dozen repaired and redesigned items which are now available for viewing and purchase at select Norrøna stores, with the brand’s CEO Jørgen Jørgensen having this to say about the project: “A new Norrøna product is great. An old Norrøna product is even better. The collaboration with Hilde is a cool initiative to give the products we can’t repair a completely new life. Recouture One Of A Kind is driven by a true enthusiasm for the past and allows each product to tell its own, exciting story.”
