Db & PMO team up to tear up the fly-fishing rule book
Ripping up the rule book and flicking the Vs to convention, super suave Swedish brand Db have partnered up with British outdoor wunderkind Purple Mountain Observatory to bunk off work for the day together and go fishing. Sharing a belief that not every hobby requires permission, qualifications, or a decade of experience before you’re allowed to take part, both brands were united by the idea of taking an approach to fly fishing as outsiders rather than experts. Creating an inspired collab together hat flies the flag for those who are willing to just wade in, figure it out, and see what their curiosity manages to catch. The result being an inspired capsule that fully reimagines classic fly-fishing equipment with a highly functional fishing vest at its centre, supported by a modular system of bags that bring the apparel and luggage lines nicely together. From the oversized sling bag to an adapted backpack, each piece has been designed as part of a unified framework that moves (or should that be swims?) seamlessly across environments. Whilst those who like to know what kind of tech they’re dealing with. may like to hear that the collection features ‘ALUULA Graflyte’. A pioneering composite fabric that’s specifically engineered for demanding outdoor environments, due to its ability to dramatically reduce weight without compromising strength or durability. So if you were looking for a new pastime that involves spending lots of time outdoors in really cool functional clothing then you might want to hook yourself up with this super fly collab.
