66°North sells sea shells, inspired by their days of yore

With their origins dating back to 1926 back when they were making protective clothing for Icelandic fishermen working in some of the world’s harshest conditions, 66°North have returned to their roots this season for a cool capsule collection. The new three piece features their awesome Dyngja Shell Jacket and Dyngja Shell Pants and a Tawler tote bag adorned with a graphic inspired design that references the traditional fishing nets used in Iceland’s historic fishing industry, albeit through a contemporary lens. Beautifully merging their unique heritage with technical performance, the silhouette of both the pants and jacket pieces are also inspired by early-2000s pieces from the 66°North archive. Whilst the 24L Trawler tote bag features an outer layer of actual Icelandic fishing net produced by Icelandic company Hampiðjan who have been manufacturing high-quality fishing gear for trawlers and purse seiners (that’s those really big nets btw) since 1934.
