More features than a multiplex: Mont Brindabella XT

If you’re looking for the ultimate in high performance sleeping bags, something that will keep you as snug as the proverbial bug whether you’re above or below the snowline, then the Brindabella XT from Australian adventure brand Mont is the one for you. Available in two fill size options (850 or 700) both of these four season bags offer an incredible warmth-to-weight ratio and also feature Mont’s 2-layer fully waterproof Hydronaute XT outer shell. Whilst there’s a myriad of other impressive details going on beneath the covers from radial arc baffle system to maximise loft height and warmth, to differential cuts between inner and outer to reduce compression and cold spots. All of which is further enhanced by the ‘Unique Cordless Collar System’ which wraps efficiently around your shoulders thus removing the need for any fiddly and uncomfortable drawcords getting in the way of a good night’s sleep. It feels like every opportunity to make these bags the best they can be have been taken, for example the Brindabella XTs have been sewn using a hydrophobic Epic thread to prevent moisture from wicking along the seams and inside the shell. They even feature a toaster pocket that you can pop an air-activated heat pack into for added warmth too, as well as a foot zip that allows you to get some air to your feet if things get too hot or you need to walk around without having to get out of your super cosy sleeping bag. Needless to say that there about another hundred impressive features that I could draw your attention to but if you haven’t realised by now that this is pretty much the Rolls Royce of sleeping bags then there’s a good chance you’re already in one and fell fast asleep after the first sentence.
