Craghoppers have brewed up a brilliant jacket
If you’re in the market for a new big Winter jacket that has impressive ecological crednetials and won’t break the bank then the Craghoppers CO2 Renu Arche could be the one for you. The jacket has been constructed using CO2 waste captured from factories before being fermented (like beer) into liquid ethanol then polymerised into fibres, which make up the polyester fabric used to make the jacket. Clever stuff eh? It was made possible with the help of US based boffins Lanza Tech whose groundbreaking technology and research into fabrics has enabled Craghoppers to take their first step towards using next generation recycled fibres that don’t rely on recycled bottles. Substantially insulated thats water and windproof as well as being breathable the Arche is a good option for enjoying the outdoors this time of year or maybe even going for a pint?
