Polartec & Vibram add some serious outdoor credentials to Crocs

Crocs can often divide opinion, especially in the outdoor community but the naysayers tend to be those who have never experienced the sheer feeling of featherlight-based bliss that comes with popping on a pair. Countless prejudices and preconceptions have dissolved in seconds once the recipients feet enter that cocoon of happiness that is a pair of Crocs. Though if you’re still to be convinced that your choice of post-hike shoe or basecamp slipper should come with loads of holes in them and weigh less than a Weetabix then the Tembo II RO silhouette could convince you to make that long overdue leap into a pair of Crocs. The key words here being Polartec and Vibram, both of which combine forces in this shoe to give it some lightweight but seriously significant warmth alongside a super grippy rubber outsole that provides enhanced grip and durability. Elevating these design classics beyond the back garden and making them serious contenders for all manner of outdoor adventures, from wild camping through to water sports. Though they’re (rightly) described as being off-road shoes, I can actually see me wearing a pair of these micro fleece based beauties on drives to and from some of my favourite hiking spots out in the Peak too.
