I’ve been a massive fan of them since first coming across their wonderful wares at a trade show around ten years ago and it has been a pleasure to see them grow over the years as more and more people become aware of their understated charms. Arguably one of the most accessible and wearable brands on the planet, they have a knack for making gear that is imminently functional whilst also possessing the type of timeless North American style you’d expect from big hitters in their 90s prime like Ralph Lauren, Patagonia and Timberland. Their aforementioned latest drop is the ACEM fleece, a Manhattan friendly mid-layer that will become your best friend whether you’re heading upstate to the party in the Hamptons or planning in getting into a state at Hampden park. A jacket whose utilitarian credentials are beautifully balanced out by some exquisite shoulder cut detailing that though placed there for improved mobility during outdoor activities also elevate the ACEM into neck-snappingly cool territory. Sp don’t you dare go for a merry old mooch around Central Park or Piccadilly Gardens without one of these fantastic fleeces on this season.
