An ocean specific collab from nanamica and Mēdeia1.0

Just in time for the upcoming hot spell we’ve been promised, our lovely friends at nanamica are releasing a range of t-shirts and tote bags this weekend that feature the work of pioneering Japanese photographer Shomei Tomatsu. The launch being done in collaboration with publisher Mēdeia 01, who are all about communicating various important social issues and global events via the perspectives of fashion and art, both in Japan as well as internationally. In this case the art being from Tomatsu’s ‘Plastics’ series which documents the marine debris found along the Kujukuri coastline. Grounded in postwar Japan, his incredibly influential work has gained a worldwide reputation for documenting cultural, social and environmental areas of concern, despite which this if the very first time Tomatsu’s beautiful photography has appeared on apparel, courtesy of our ocean loving mates at nanamica.

The nanamica × Mēdeia1.0 limited edition collection will be available from 23.05.26 HERE.
