Inselberg have made some superfine socks!
Yes that’s right, your favourite New Zealand mountain brand have applied their technical expertise to a pair of what could quite possibly be the best socks ever made. Engineered around fit rather than cushioning, the appropriately named ‘Ski Cushion Zero’ are intended to be a second skin rather than providing padding which Inselberg claims adds compression, shifts the foot forward, and dulls the feedback that your custom fitted boots were designed to deliver. So with these beauties your foot sits exactly where the boot fitter placed it and thus heel hold, arch support, and forefoot responsiveness all transmit directly with no migration and no dead spots between your foot and the shell. Pretty clever huh? They’re also constructed from superfine merino construction that regulates temperature across the full range of ski conditions, from being fully breathable when you’re pushing hard to insulating when you’re standing around on the slopes. Whilst mesh ventilation zones manage moisture through changing output levels with the ribbed arch support and elasticated ankle band keeping the sock firmly locked in position throughout the day. As if all that technical finery wasn’t enough the heel and toe areas of the Ski 0C are also reinforced with super tough yet ultralight Dyneema fabric in order to prevent the thinning and hole formation that so often prematurely ends the life of most high performance socks. Field tested by mountain professionals Inselberg are unapologetically carving their own path in terms of high performance product development, which is making them quickly become one of the best alpine brands on the entire planet.
