A pitch perfect Moondance from Australian adventure brand Mont

Even though I spent a significant part of my young adulthood pitching tents around Europe for the UK holiday company Keycamp (RIP) I can still get a little overwhelmed at the thought of having to put a tent up. Especially when it’s a new model that I’ve unpacked and the weather has taken a decidedly un-European direction. So lets all raise a glass to Stevie from legendary Australian outdoor adventure brand Mont, who has taken some time out to show us exactly how to pitch one of their incredible Moondance 2 tents. Something of a market leader in the ultralight tent world, this 3 season, two person beauty features a 25,000mm+ WaterBloc PU laminated Nylon floor. Which is a modest waterproof rating (as it’s apparently closer to 40,000mm but they don’t like to show off) that’s offers more than twice the waterhead of any other tent on the market that provides you with a solid a guarantee of a lovely rain-free night’s sleep. To be fair it looks pretty easy to pitch the Moondance 2 having now watched the video but it’s still good to see how it’s done by the experts, my only complaint being that there were no cutaway shots of a nearby Chris Lilley checking out some kangaroos.
