An exceptionally warm reception for ECCO’s Receptor XP trail shoe
Whilst it may sound like the best game to ever hit the Sega Megadrive, the ECCO Receptor XP is actually a shining example of Danish design in the form of an awesome looking ortho-friendly outdoor shoe. Optimised to deliver wearer-first comfort and amplify the joy and efficiency of walking the Receptor’s technology has been developed in partnership with leading bio mechanists from the University of Copenhagen. Who, when tasked with studying how we walk they discovered that each step is made of three distinct movements: landing on the heel, standing through the middle of the foot, and pushing off with the toes. The innovative Receptor being a direct response to this research, having been created to support your foot through each of those phases, with the XP version geared specifically for hitting the trail and all the different terrains that that entails. Light, waterproof and fully breathable the XP also feature technical details such as lightweight insoles with integrated stabilisers and ECCO’s Fluidform Direct Comfort Technology for long-lasting cushioning and everyday walking comfort. It’s great to see one of the world’s comfiest footwear brand applying their expertise to the outdoor world, especially in such a versatile, urban friendly silhouette too.
