Nitty Gritty® Worldwide strikes all the right chords

If you’ve learned anything about Outdoor Licence by now it’s hopefully that: A. We really love Sweden and B. We don’t discriminate between fashion and function as we love both. Which is my introduction to the wonderful Worldwide world of Nitty Gritty. A Swedish men/womenswear institution, Nitty Gritty started making their own collection of clothing a fews seasons back. Named ‘Worldwide’ to reflect the time and effort that went into these exceptionally well made garments, constructed using premium materials and artisanal manufacturing processes from around the world. as opposed to chasing the latest trends or hype, each highly anticipated release of Worldwide arrives like another welcome addition in the quest curating the perfect casual wardrobe. This is timeless, relaxed gear that you can wear forever, that you could get married in or enjoy a leisurely walks through a forest, and pretty much every other type of laid back activity you could imagine in between. This latest drop, true to form, is a perfect collection of instantly wearable apparel with beautiful fabric and contemporary-meets-classic cuts at the forefront of the design process. This global selection includes handwoven madras cotton, dense heavyweight jersey, reverse satin, Italian black denim, hard twist indigo denim, lightweight nylon taslan, washed chino twill and a limited fooptwear collab with our Finnish mate at Tarvas made from a final piece of deadstock Cordura. Nitty Gritty have described this collection as ‘practical clothing with depth in the fabric, clear construction and a sense of permanence‘ which pretty much says exactly what I’ve been trying to get across in this entire paragraph. Trust the Swedes to be dead good at summing stuff up as well as making super cool clothes.
