Norway News: Norrøna to open flagship London store

Yes you heard right, one of our favourite Scandinavian brands, the brilliant Norrøna, are all set to up up a shiny new flagship store later this year in our glorious capital. Offering the complete assortment of the Norwegian brand’s high-quality apparel and equipment, including ski/snowboarding, hiking and mountaineering through to mountain biking, trail running, and surfing, the new space will be on the prestigious location of Regent Street. Friend of Outdoor Licence the fourth-generation owner and leader of Norrøna Jørgen Jørgensen had this to say about the exciting news: “London is one of the world’s most important and inspiring cities. We are extremely proud and humbled to now have the opportunity to establish a Norrøna HUB in the famous Cunard House at 15 Regent Street. This address, and this building, has a long and rich history. It is a great pleasure and honour to collaborate with The Crown Estate, which owns the building, and we look forward to welcoming everyone inside after the summer.” With Norrøna stores already situated in over 40 locations including New York, Beijing, Munich, Zurich, Chamonix, Oslo, and Stockholm, the brand’s retail director Bård Kvamme had this to say about the new store: “For all of us who work at Norrøna, opening a Flagship Store in London is exceptionally significant. London is, in many ways, the crown jewel of our retail store portfolio.” Sounds like we might have to wait a couple of months before we can get down there for a look around but suffice to say this is really great news for fans of this brilliant brand and hoepfully a sign that we’ll get one up North at some point soon too!
