The Inselberg x Outdoor Licence Hike

Last Saturday saw us getting together for one of our long overdue communal hikes in the glorious peak district. Setting off from Bowden bridge carpark we took a leisurely circular leg stretch up to Rushup Edge via Mount Head. It was great to see some familiar faces as well as some newcomers making up the numbers, all of whom had a cracking time enjoying thee unpredictably dry weather as well as my much more predictable dad jokes. Like all of our OL hikes it ended up in a pub where we had a couple of drinks and our hike hero Lucy the Staffy tucked into a well deserved sausage roll from the brilliant Sportsman pub in Hayfield.

Though we’ve only been doing these meet ups for around a year now, I’m really happy with how much fun they have turned out to be and the friends I have made through doing them. We don’t tend to promote these event too heavily so keep an eye on our insta account HERE and remember that everyone is welcome and all you need is some decent footwear, waterproof clothing and to be able to keep up with an overweight bloke in his fifties telling bad jokes. Massive thank you to Inselberg for sponsoring this one too, Joe, Jordan and I were lucky enough to try out their Quintic Hoody and Monic Jacket on the day and they were both the perfect lighter layers that are ideal at this transitional time of year. Thanks to everyone who came along and see you all on the next one!
