Merrell 1TRL get their kicks down by the coastline

Without a doubt our favourite ‘Bang on trend but also functional AF footwear brand’, Merrell 1TRL are launching into a new season on the theme of ‘Coastal Currents’. Taking the restless edge of the coastline as their inspiration, the collection has been designed to reflect those dramatic places where kelp, stone and scaled lifeforms shift in colour and texture as they move in between environments. With the first piece to pull up to the shore being the Agility Peak 6 1TRL, which arrives in a new tortoiseshell treatment that’s been brought to life via a partnership with the French multidisciplinary artist Charles Auguste. Built to perform through varied movement and environments and first introduced in SS26, the Agility Peak 6 features in this campaign as follows Auguste as he moves through the natural and urban terrains of Marseille. Reading his surroundings before responding through instinctive, expressive movement while giving physical form to the season’s central ideas of adaptation, transition and the refined chaos of environments in motion. Something of a Swiss Army Knife of a shoe this chic shoot is a super stylish way to illustrate just how versatile these trail-friendly trainers can be.
