Hoka bust out a banging new Bondi 7 with Beams that’s inspired by Buddhism

Taking inspo from the natural palettes to be found in Japanese Zen gardens, Hoka and Beams have joined forces to create a harmonious version of their Bondi 7 in two calming, camo colourways. Though still packing the same super comfy cushioning as the OG Bondi 7, this collaborative version also features the aforementioned custom DPMs that were created exclusively for the project, each of which subtly incorporate the names of both brands throughout the design. With senior director of global collaborations and partnerships at Hoka Thomas Cykana explaining: “Historically,Tokyo has served as fertile ground for Hoka to stretch beyond performance and into streetwear, fashion,and unrealised design territories. Beam’s long standing reputation as contemporary curator makes their iteration of the Bondi 7 an exceptionally unique example of this phenomenon. The result is afresh expression of a beloved HOKA form, enhanced for those who value both premium products and functional style.” Which is exactly the type of world-merging that we love here at Outdoor Licence, top marks to all involved and we will never ever tire of functional footwear with a subtle military vibe that you can happily wear on a night out at the warehouse project. My only complaint is that they haven’t done a matching co-branded rake and secateurs to go with the shoe.
