Heimplanet do Black Friday the right way this year

I don’t know about you but for me Black Friday always brings about the dilemma of whether you bag yourself a serious bargain or stick to supporting independent brands and retailers by not joining in with all the madness. Fortunately this year the legendary German tent brand Heimplanet have solved this problem by giving buyers the choice whether to get 30% off their incredible products or to donate (all or a percentage of) that discount to the 1% for the Planet network. Meaning you can actually give 30% to the Planet instead of the usual 1% or just get yourself a bargain and maybe donate later down the line when you finally get that pay rise/lottery win you’ve been waiting for.

For those that don’t know 1% for the Planet is a global network with thousands of incredible businesses and environmental organisations working together to support people and the planet. By being a member, Heimplanet have committed to donating 1% of all their proceeds to environmental organisations. In their case, these are The Surfrider Foundation who are dedicated to marine and environmental conservation through positive activism and Wilderness International who use donations to buy rainforest land, preserving it forever. So as part of their HPT BLACKOUT promotion their will be four different discount codes available which will offer: 30% for you and 0% for the planet, 20% for you and 10% for the planet, 10% for you and 20% for the planet or 0% for you and 30% for the planet. Subscribers to the Heimplanet newsletter will get their discount codes 4 days earlier on the 20th of November whilst everyone else will be given access to them on the Heimplanet site on the 24th of November.
