Haglöfs Go For Gold

I don’t know what it is about this year’s Winter Olympics but they seem to be attracting and inspiring the creme-de-la-creme of the world’s best outdoor performance brands. Following on from 66°North’s sponsorship of their national team as well as the Our Legacy x Goldwin Olympic inspired collab we know see Swedish mountain Gods Haglöfs lending their expertise to the ultimate pursuit of sporting excellence. As part of their close work with the Swedish Olympic committee they have just released the official snow mitten for their national Winter Olympic team, which as you’d expect is a versatile piece of technical kit designed to meet the highest of demands in the most extreme circumstances. Optimised for movement in cold conditions the Team SWE mitten has been constructed using recycled synthetic fibre insulation on order to retain heat even in the dampest weather. Whilst on the inside they feature a super soft fleece lining that provides increased comfort with the practical wrist straps there to keep the mittens firmly in place. “Designing for the conditions of the Olympic environment was central to our process. From the opening and medal ceremonies, to everyday life in the Olympic village: each scenario has inspired the final product. The development of the mitten followed a faster process than usual & I am proud that we have managed to live up to our quality and sustainability requirements, while delivering the final product in record time.
