Danner has gone and done it again
As has been documented previously here on Outdoor Licence, when it comes to making great footwear (and clothes) then Danner really can do no wrong in our eyes. Their recent release, the totally terrific Trail Field Low GTX being a perfect example of how they consistently manage to deliver the goods, time and time again. Clearly inspired by their classic 1970/80s output these old school referencing low profile hikers manage to bring archival design into a more wearable, modern format via some contemporary tech. Which includes a lightweight Vibram Kletterlift outsole to keep things comfortable and steady underfoot. Whilst the premium LWG Gold-rated suede upper, removable OrthoLite footbed and Goretex lining all bring additional functionality and comfort without making a big song or dance about it. Suffice to say, you could go out on a decent day’s hiking in these beauties as well as get married in a pair with zero questions being asked. Now there’s not many shoes you can say that about are there? Tremendous work all round Danner, give yourselves the rest of the week off.
