Corridor cosies up for a collab with Merrell 1TRL
Given that Brooklyn based brand Corridor was founded by an FBI agent it’s reassuring to know that someone of that calibre rates Merrell 1TRL footwear as highly as we do here at Outdoor Licence. In fact such is their appreciation that the two. brands have collaborated together for the first time on an incredibly cosy looking Moab Winter Moc 3 shoe that perfectly suits life in and around the Big Apple. Or as the aforementioned ex-crime fighter and Corridor head honcho himself (AKA Dan Snyder) put it:
“New York City is all about walking. We wanted to create a walking shoe for all seasons and all reasons. The collab has a hiking sole for longer days on your feet and through the inclement weather that is sure to come. It’s also appropriate for day hikes in Upstate, NY. The shoe is made to fit our active lifestyles in a way that integrates with the clothes-in a natural suede and an easy brown sole. We hope that these useful shoes help make your life more comfortable and easy; and that you wear them out.”
Which sums up this somewhat stylish slip-on shoe perfectly doesn’t it? Whilst on a technical tip the inner neoprene lining provides a comfortable fit with a recycled mesh footbed treated with Cleansport NXT for natural odour control, that’s complimented by a removable EVA foam footbed for optimal cushioning. There’s also a moulded nylon arch shank for additional support and a shock absorbing Merrell Air Cushion in the heel to enhance stability. Just don’t attempt anything remotely criminal in them as my friend Tony reckons they’ve also got a built in listening device in there somewhere.
