Berghaus rebuilds the Big Wall
Ok so Berghaus have done pretty well out of 90s nostalgia of late (shout out to certain residents of M19) but for me their mid-noughties banger the ‘Big Wall’ is the one that I’m happy to see returning in 2026. Originally released in 2006, the jacket continued the design legacy of jackets like the Trango and Mera Peak albeit with some contemporary updates to both design and technical fabrics. Whilst the latest iteration shares the same ‘I’d wear this on a night out as well as a hike up Ben Macdui’ DNA as it’s iconic predecessors, it’s also pushing things forward technically too. As this orange hued, big pocket beauty is constructed from 3L GORETEX and has bonded water repellent zips with plenty of adjustable features throughout to ensure the perfect fit whether that’s to accommodate your helmet, harness or bucket hat. Whilst the 28,000mm hydrostatic head means you’ll be staying dry wherever you chose to wear this Berghaus bad boy. This is a future classic and you can currently get it for an absolute steal in their current sale too, scroll below for the link to your new favourite jacket.
