Crack open the Champagne, it’s the Merrell 1TRL Cham Pack!

First introduced just over a year ago Merrell 1TRL’s Cham Redux has fast become a franchise cornerstone for the brand, their silhouette perfectly exemplifying the foundational aspects of this much admired diffusion line that rejuvenates archival silhouettes via luxurious and functional updates. This season the Cham Redux has reappeared in reassuringly alliterative ‘Comet’ and ‘Casper’ colourways with plush suede overlays atop intricately detailed two-tone torn camo mesh on the uppers. Whilst the toggle lacing system, moulded TPU heel and FLoatMax midsole add some modern tech to the heritage vibes. Joining this release is the Cham Reux Sieve model which blends a leather and neoprene upper with subtle hits of the ornate mesh detailing that’s also present on its pack counterpart.Though foregoing the toggle lace system in favour of utilising a strap fastening that ensures over foot support and security. Having tried and tested a number of 1TRL shoes over the years, I can confirm that these super cool looking shoes also walk the walk when it comes to functionality and performance even if you buy a pair with zero intention of ever moving too far away from a dancefloor in them.
