Take part in Earth\Studies latest Experiment
One of our favourite brands to appear from over the pond in recent years, Earth\Studies always seem to do things the right way and create the type of beautiful and thoughtfully designed garments that make us want to give up the daily grind to go start up a peace commune on top of Kinder Scout. Having previously explored and redefined concepts of enclosure, “indoors”, “outdoors”, and locality, their latest ‘Experiment’ is themed around the construction, relocation, and inhabitation of various structures in different forms of terrain. Making apparel suited to a spectrum of different pursuits by exploring the performance properties of natural fibres linen and wool when blended together. Explaining that despite the myriad mechanical and chemical innovations of modern performance fibres, few if any can regulate temperature and moisture better than the hair of Earth’s various species of ruminant land mammals known as sheep. Which they have blended evenly together with the fibres of the flax plant to produce a linen/wool fabric with remarkable lightness and airflow properties. Now, about that very well-dressed cult we’re thinking of starting, we’ll meet all potential disciples at Bowden Bridge carpark, you bring the positive vibes and we’ll bring the natural linen EQ-116 bucket hats.
