A graphic design collab with Descente Allterrain drops down in Daikanyama

Though it may initially look like one of your favourite Japanese outdoor brands has had a baby with the Pompidou centre, what you’re seeing here is Descente Allterrain’s collab with renowned graphic designer Yuri Uenishi. Who’s amorphous work has been translated into a limited edition collection of gear that includes a water repellent shirt and shorts, a tee with built in UV protection, an antibacterial cap and a two-way scoche/pouch bag. All of which feature visual motifs selected from Yuri Uenishi’s stunning solo exhibition “Now Printing,” which was held at the Ginza Graphic Gallery back in 2024. The images having been chosen by Yuri for their ability to traverse the boundaries between photography and graphics, concrete and abstract, reality and unreality, and digital and analogue. Strikingly unique, these technical treats are available from Descente stores as well as their site, whilst if you’re lucky enough to be in Tokyo you also can check out Yuri’s exhibition which is being held at Descente Blanc Daikanyama  from the 11th until the 21st of June.
