A bag built for limitless pursuits
Having recently gotten my mits on a Haglofs L.I.M ZT II 30 I can safely say that it’s the best day pack I have ever owned. Designed from a pleasingly ‘crunchy’ military spec material I’m more used to seeing Stone Island jackets made from (i.e. Dyneema & Spectra Ripstop) the appeal here is almost as much tactile as it is technical. A key component of the innovative new Haglofs L.I.M ZT II range where each piece has been engineered as part a modular layering system that’s designed for tackling every aspect and altitude of alpine adventure. Ultra light and super tough the pack’s special forces aesthetic is backed up by a similar level of functionality with an adjustable/compressible roll-top opening and a whole host of external storage options on which to securely stash your ice axe, hydration system, ropes or sleeping pad. Though aimed at alpinists and mountaineers this is also one of those versatile packs that also lends itself to daily commutes or weekend city breaks too, I’m absolutely besotted with mine and for £230 you’re getting a hell of a lot of technical bag for your buck.
