‘Ski-cycled’ gear from Passenger
Taking a reliably responsible approach to technical outerwear Passenger’s latest launch is a colourful collection of snow friendly gear that’s been constructed entirely using recycled PFC-free waterproofing and materials. They’ve also done their homework when it comes to finding out just what their customers want and delivered a utilitarian set of versatile products with Passenger’s chief product officer Paul Anderton informing us:
“We know our community of Roamers is returning to the mountains each year from November to May in alpine epicentres such as the Alps, Scottish Highlands, and the Rockies to find escapism in the snow. Our capsule Snowscape collection allows Passenger to join them on that journey; it’s something they’ve been asking us for. We’ve circled in on a product set to suit our customers’ wants and needs while addressing common pain points they have when searching for snow gear. Nothing’s overcomplicated, instead, it’s responsibly designed utilising recycled materials and PFC-free DWR, and in keeping with our classic look and feel. But we know there’s an expectation for snow essentials here; a lift pass pocket, snow skirt, gaiter, etc. – all the stuff our community is well accustomed to.”
The jackets, anoraks, bibs and pants in the limited Snowscape collection have all been specifically designed for layering on top of Passenger’s existing Outdoor Active winter offering. Which includes responsibly sourced down and synthetic insulation, Polartec mid-layer technical fleece, and moisture-wicking base layers. Hats off to Passenger for keeping it real and listening to their punters, expect to see this vibrant kit coming to a ski-lift queue near you very soon.
