Is ‘Performance Heritage’ the new quiet nature? Well if Danner’s exciting new clothing collection is anything to go by then yes, yes it bloody is. Exactly the kind of gear you’d want to wear whilst enjoying a weekend exploring the Paific North West this gorgeous selection of garments are as perfectly aligned with Danner’s natural environment as they are to being worn with their brilliant boots. Casual yet capable, the collection craftily hides it’s functionality beneath classic outerwear silhouettes and heritage classics to lull you in with the aesthetics before it then wows you with all the tech.

Continuing a symbiotic relationship that’s existed between Danner and Goretex since 1979, the miraculous membrane is here in full effect. The pinnacle of which being the Cascade Crest packable GTX 3L jacket and rain pants that take their performance inspo from the wet and rugged western slopes of the Portland Cascades where rain is measured in feet rather than inches. Whilst the the Woodsman 2L GTX Jacket pays its heritage loving dues to classic hunting jackets with its contrasting leather collar, snap-off hood, zigzag stitching and roomy zippered “game pocket”. Whilst again featuring 21st century waterproof technology despite of all the deceptively classic, old-school good looks. Complimenting these absolute bangers is an equally cool collection of rainforest friendly thermal layers, sherpa fleece jackets and down vests.
