Patagonia to premiere ‘Papsura: Peak of Evil’ later this month

Our pals over at Patagonia have given us a heads up about the release of their latest epic film release which will be available to watch in Europe online from the 22nd of this month (Jan 2025). Titled ‘Papsura: Peak of Evil’ the film documents Patagonia snow ambassador Nick Russell making the first EVER snowboard descent of aforementioned ‘evil’ mountain range. For those unaware of Papsura’s fearsome reputation, it’s tucked deep in the Indian Himalayas and is an absolute behemoth whose face is split by a line so perfect and massive that it tests the skills and rattles the nerves of even the most renowned ski mountaineers. Here’s what Nick had to say: “The vision for Papsura was inspired directly from the exploits of the late Hilaree Nelson. It was a years-long dream to acquire the necessary skills to organise and lead an expedition to Northern India, culminating in the second descent and first snowboard descent of the 21,150-plus-foot peak.” You’ll be able to see how Nick and his mate Jerry Mark complete this Herculean task away from their native Sierra Nevada on the world’s greatest mountain range, as they harness years of experience in pursuit of the biggest line of their lives.
