Minimalist mountain modernism from Arc’teryx
Inspired by the brand’s legendary Alpha FL pack, the new Alpha SL 30 backpack from Arc’teryx delivers the same performance and dependability but with the added bonus of a 50% weight reduction as well as increased durability and recyclability. Designed with alpine adventures in mind the pack owes its durable and ultralight (428g) construction to a top tier technical fabric known as ALUULA Graflyte. Which also makes this minimalist mountain pack highly abrasion-and-water-resistant but without the bulk of wide seams and binding tape. Whilst the smooth surface significantly improves efficiency and removes potential points of failure to make this a piece of kit that won’t leave you high and dry when you’re a long way from home. Though in the unlikely event of a puncture Alpha SL Patch kids will be available from Arc’teryx ReBIRD Service Centres this Autumn, which gives you about 5 months in the meantime to get up in the mountains and put this space age backpack through its paces.
