Heartwarming Life-Tech wear from nanamica

If you’re looking at this and thinking ‘What’s so outdoorsy about nanamica?‘ then allow me to explain. Well apart from incorporating the likes of 65/35 Bayhead Cloth, GORE-TEX, 3 Layer PERTEX, Kodenshi and Alphadry into this new collection, they’re also responsible for making all The North Face Purple Label gear too, so their outdoors credentials are actually very strong if not immediately obvious. Plus the cross-pollination of technical outerwear and fashion are exactly the kind of things that got us out there exploring the outdoors in the first place. Which I’m sure anyone who went raving in the late 80s/early 90s and beyond will be happy to testify. Also, just because you love spending time in the outdoors it doesn’t mean you that have to dress like Bill Oddie when you’re not halfway up a mountain. So sporting a bit of Nanamica is the ideal way to maintain a tastefully nuanced outdoorsy aesthetic rather than choosing to wear a 100L backpack down the pub and knocking everyone’s bevvies out of their hands every single time you go for a wee isn’t it?

Anyway, the aforementioned Nanamica have kindly given us a sneak peak into their SS25 collection and it’s all really rather beautiful. Described as ‘Heartwarming Life-Tech Wear’ the range is all about comfort and functionality that’s been made with minimal impact on the environment. Whilst the dreamy colour palette takes it’s inspired from ocean landscapes. Reinforcing their ‘Once Ocean, All Lands’ motto the tones span from the deep navy and Sax (it’s a bit like turquoise) of the sea to the sandy beige of the beach alongside coral pinks and greens. The only caveat we have to this gear is that if you do choose to go for a hike in it this Spring (and you totally could) then you may want to swap the Wallabees and Paraboots for something a little more techy.
