Arc’teryx Climb Academy 2026: Elevating Skills in the Heart of the Lake District
The Arc’teryx Climb Academy is back for its sixth edition in the Lake District’s Langdale Valley from 23–25 May 2026. With specialist instruction from world-class guides and elite athletes like Jim Pope, Nina Caprez or Holly Toothill, participants can advance their skills to the next level in one of the UK’s premier climbing destinations. The Academy offers the chance to experience the UK climbing scene while building technical knowledge, skills and community. The weekend features more than 350+ clinic spots covering trad, bouldering, mountaineering, fell running, and photography — all led by IFMGA guides and world-class athletes. Clinics are available for all
levels, including an enhanced women’s offering for this year’s edition. New for this year, return Coach Trips from London and Manchester directly to the event site are available to book via the Academy website too.

All Day – Classic Rock with Jim Pope: Join in for a truly special day in the mountains with Jim Pope diving deep into British climbing heritage. Climbing two classic routes from Classic Rock, Ash Tree Slabs and C
Route, this is a rare chance to combine history, storytelling, and unforgettable multi-pitch trad climbing in one of the country’s most legendary settings.
Two Day – Progressing Your Trad Climbing with Teddy Eyob: Build real confidence on traditional rock with this immersive two-day clinic alongside Teddy Eyob. This clinic is designed for climbers who already have some outdoor experience and are ready to progress. Across the weekend, hands-on experience will be gained in everything from route selection and efficient racking to placing gear, building anchors, and managing smooth, controlled descents.
All Day – Developing your Lead Climbing with Nina Caprez – Women’s Clinic: This intensive session focuses on refining movement, improving decision-making, and mastering the core systems of traditional climbing. Nina Caprez combines technical expertise with an inspiring, thoughtful coaching style — making this a unique chance to learn from one of the leading voices in modern trad climbing.
