Click and fix with Komperdell

Whilst the usage of walking poles is guaranteed to create a heated debated between the four members of Outdoor Licence I think we’d all agree that they can be an absolute godsend when tackling certain scenarios. Speaking of which those boundary pushing pole producers from Austria Komperdell have just released their latest innovation, the FX Lite TI Vario. Coming in at a very reasonable £129 a pair these new versions are 30% lighter than conventional telescopic poles thanks to the way their multiple reinforced shafts that simply unfold by themselves and can then be just clicked into place. Weighing in at a respectable 245gm and measuring 41cms when packed away they won’t take up much room in your pack either, though there is an even more compact version should you be heading out on the type of multi-day adventure where every gram counts. These practical poles come in four sections, can adjust from 115-135cm in length and feature tungsten/carbide flex tips alongside an FXP UL Vario basket. Whilst the ergonomic Trail Pro 245 Foam grips and comfort padded straps mean that you won’t be nursing any blisters on your hands at the end of the trail.
