Bikes inspired by the City of Light

Whilst the bread & butter subject matter of Outdoor Licence tends to be focussed around hiking up hills, camping on top of mountains or climbing up rock faces we also like to cast a light on other areas that involve enjoying the great outdoors. Which is why we’re featuring this tremendous trio of limited edition bikes that have just been released by the legendary German brand Canyon. Replicating the bikes ridden by the 40 Canyon riders who took part in the recent summer Olympic Games in Paris the collection features an Aeroad road bike, Lux World Cup cross country mountain bike and Roadlite:ON ebike all decked out in Canyon’s speed of light-inspired ‘MACH 874’
artwork. The design having come from Canyon’s creative director Ultan Coyle who took the inspiration of Paris as
the city of light together with the high-speed performances of the athletes to create a speed-of-light inspired design, otherwise known as MACH874. Each bike was designed with a prism colour way on the forks and a deep blue/grey base colour alongside silver accents and an iridescent Canyon logo that changes colour as light hits it for the ultimate in head-turning treader action.
