Arc’teryx Climb Academy arrives back in the Lakes

Now into it’s fifth year, the highly anticipated Arc’teryx Climb Academy returns to the Lake District next month with an action-packed lineup in the Langdale valley taking place across 23rd to the 26th of May. A real highlight of the climbing calendar, this year’s climbing clinics include ‘Multi-Pitch Rock Climbing’ and ‘Fine Tune Your Lead Climbing’ sessions led by a selection of IFMGA guides and Arc’teryx athletes such as Jim Pope and Holly Toothill. Whilst the weekend also offers a plethora of free off-mountain activities such as film nights, live music, gear tests, and workshops. Given the appropriate location Arc’teryx are also bringing Fell Running into the fold this year by introducing a new half-day beginner and advanced clinics designed to provide insightful fell running knowledge and expert techniques. The Canadian brand are also proudly boosting their women-only offerings this year, with hands-on lead, trad, and multi-pitch clinics aimed at female climbers of all experiences. Alongside which they’ll be running a first-of-its-kind theory-based workshop called “Thriving Through Hormonal Changes” which you can buy tickets for HERE.

Covering events in hiking, abseiling, bouldering, scrambling, and conservation work the extensive programme will also provide an opportunity to explore Arc’teryx’s innovative ReBIRD circularity platform through gear repairs and equipment tips from the pros. For those wishing to come along onsite camping is again available to attendees looking for an affordable way to enjoy the full weekend with pitches situated right next to the Arc’teryx Academy Basecamp, right at the heart of the event.
