A post Parisian peek at the ROA x Altra collab
Last week’s Paris fashion shows continued to illustrate the fact that the passion for outdoor style is more than a passing phase and looking like its here to stay. Which is great news for us here, having feet in both camps we were particularly impressed by the unveiling of the ROA x Altra collab. Combing ROA’s inimitable Italian hiking style with Altra’s rugged Utah background, this impressive low profiled iteration of the iconic Timp 5 Trail shoe is set to arrive this coming Autumn. Featuring all the technical bells and whistles of previous models (including GORETEX lining & a Vibram sole) ROA have added a sophisticated deep brown colour layering throughout the upper , midsole and tape in their classy aesthetic manner. Inspired by their shared belief in the transformative power of nature and the importance of utilitarian design, this beautiful piece of kit is not only a prime example of how collabs can really work well but also that form follows function NOT fashion.
