Sprayway helps out the FSC with awaydays

Whilst last year’s 50th anniversary celebrations left us in no doubt of the important part that Sprayway has played in the evolution of British outdoor clothing, their latest partnership clearly shows us the direction in which they are heading in. Firmly committed to encouraging people of all ages to take their first steps into the outdoors, Sprayway have teamed up with the Field Studies Council, an amazing charity that shares Sprayway’s belief in the transformative powers of outdoor education. Founded in 1943 the Field Studies Councils are those lovely people responsible for getting you out of the classroom back during your school days to observe the flora and fauna of the great outdoors with your mates. On a mission to connect us all with nature they provide everything from primary school adventures and tailored secondary school curricula to advanced university research trips. Whilst their network of residential and day centres provides immersive learning experiences in some of the most stunning natural settings across the UK. As well as creating Natural History and Leisure Courses (both In-person and online) designed for beginners, enthusiasts, and professionals, as well as creative arts and family holidays inspired by nature.

As many parents are currently struggling financially during these austere times, Sprayway have very kindly donated 250 sets of waterproof gear to the FSC to help lighten the load and ensure more learners benefit from their transformative outdoor experiences. Alongside this initiative, Field Studies Council’s staff, particularly those based in mountain regions, will collaborate with Sprayway on their product development too. Getting to go out and field-test new gear in challenging conditions in a reflection of Sprayway’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability in outdoor clothing. We take our collective hats off to both parties for this altruistic endeavour and would also like to thank you for those life-affirming times we spent craftily smoking Embassy Filters when we should have been drawing Oxbow lakes.
