The NEMO Dagger OSMO gets the blues

A firm favourite amongst elite backpacking campers and top tier tent fans, the NEMO equipment Dagger OSMO has just become the first ever backpacking tent to receive a highly revered Bluesign PRODUCT designation. One of the highest standards of sustainability its possible to achieve, the OSMO has achieved this status by adhering to the industry’s most rigorous environmental and worker safety standards and is made entirely using solution-dyed, 100% recycled, PFAS- and FRC-free fabrics. No mean feat given the OSMO’s lightweight and waterproof credentials Product Development Director at NEMO Gabi Rosenbrien had this to say about the new model:

“In the fall of 2023, our Product team set out to take Dagger further by not only using 100% recycled
fabrics that are free of PFAS and added fire retardant chemicals, but by creating the industry’s first
bluesign tent. Partnering with bluesign was a natural evolution of our collaboration in other product categories and highlights NEMO’s dedication to responsible chemicals management. The development process involved close cooperation with both new and existing suppliers to ensure that all 65+ materials used in the tent met rigorous performance and chemical compliance standards.”

Available in 2 and 3 person capacity with a minimum weight of 1.51kg the versatile new Dagger OSMO has also updated its pole structure to expand an already roomy interior to increase the door opening and peak height. Which also means each vestibule now gets 22% more usable storage space thanks to
the new ‘Stash’ volumising strut, whilst its Axial corner anchor also allows for a quick and easy
setup and tensioning without the need for any pesky re-staking.
