Smartwool, OUTO & Ellis Brigham take a hike around the Heath

Last weekend saw the ‘Healing with Nature and embracing Diversity’ community event take place with a hike through Hampstead Heath followed by a panel talk at Covent Garden. Hosted by not for profit organisation OUTO (Opening Up The Outdoors) in conjunction with Ellis Brigham and Smartwool the Q&A featured voices from across the community discussing the barriers faced by underrepresented groups and what true inclusion looks like in outdoor spaces. This is something that’s close to our hearts here at Outdoor Licence so it’s great to see things like this happening that help to understand and tackle the various challenges faced by these marginalised groups. Though we are just a tad jealous that all the attendees got a goodie bag full of Smartwool gear and some Ellis Brigham vouchers too but can’t argue with both brands getting behind this brilliant group of people and making progressive events like this happen.

Check out the brilliant stuff that Opening Up The Outdoors does HERE.
