As someone painfully aware of the trials and tribulations involved with making a magazine (websites are miles easier) it fills my heart with joy to see a brand new independent publication dedicated to the outdoors hitting the shelves. Especially when the focus of ‘New Mountain Magazine’ is firmly placed on adventures and storytelling rather than just reading about loads of stats and boastful achievements. So in this beautifully produced piece of print you’ll find yourself glued to articles that cover topics as diverse as celebrating the art of analogue photography to stories about failed hikes via pieces on Tracklocross, Norwegian splitboarding and a French architect who now makes backpacks. Recently launched with outr mates Outsiders at their London store, Issue 1 is available now and limited to just 500 mags. Hopefully this is just the start of something very special and further proof that the UK’s love for all things outdoors continues to grow and grow.
