More than just a lovely looking lightweight trail shoe

Sometimes you see a pair of trainers in a cool store and instantly have a ‘WHAT ARE THOSE??’ moment don’t you? This happened to me recently during a chat with the lovely Lauren at END in Manchester. After discussing with her how brilliant both Stockholm and Haglofs jackets are my attention was drawn to a pair of majestic ecru and blue trail runners that were conveniently placed on a shelf at my exact eye-level. Upon further inspection I realised they were Atras (whose Timp Hikers are my current favourite for hitting the hills in) and are called the Olympus 6 Hike Low GTX. As well as being a real treat for the eyes they’re also kitted out with GORE-TEX Invisible Fit which is a one-of-a-kind lightweight, waterproof lining that delivers all the protection you need for a day out hitting the trails without weighing you down. Which is further enhanced by a constructed collar for a stable fit on technical terrain with a premium leather upper and Vibram Megagrip outsole for improved durability whilst keeping also your toes happy on those steep downs. Though we may have came for the striking good looks of these Olympus 6 Hike Lows, we’re now staying for the technical performance levels.
