Outdoor Licence Kinder Scout Mass Trespass Hike 26.04.25

Ok so, the annual mass trespass hike has crept up on us a bit quicker than usual so we’ll be marking the auspicious occasion by following in the footsteps of our hiking heroes with a circular hike up to Kinder Scout starting and ending at Bowden Bridge carpark in Hayfield (SK22 2LJ). The plan will be to meet up at 10am on Saturday the 26th of April before setting off to enjoy a long but leisurely hike together. If you’ve not done the route before, be prepared for unpredictable weather and a variety of different terrains underfoot with 636 metres of elevation. Which means you’ll need to be reasonably fit, have sensible footwear, waterproof clothing and enough food and drink to see you through several hours of hiking. Afterwards we’ll also be raising a glass to those heroes who took part in the original Mass Trespass and who we have to thank for being able to enjoy Kinder today without being shot at by gamekeepers.
